Activision has released the patch notes for Call of Duty: FPS Shooter Games Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone 's newest update that rebalances FPS game weapons, fixes bugs, adds ground vehicles to Rebirth Island, and more. The minor update arrives as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has enjoyed a surge in popularity recently.
This past weekend, Call of Duty hit its highest Steam player count since last year, largely thanks to a free trial that ran from April 4 to April 8 and the launch of Season 3 on April 3. Season 3 added two new weapons in the MORS sniper and FJX Horus SMG. However, some Warzone players began running into issues while using the MORS that caused on-target shots to regularly miss. Unfortunately, this issue still seems to be unfixed with the newest update, but Call of Duty previously confirmed that it's scheduled to be addressed in a future patch.
As for Warzone 's new update, the only gameplay change is the addition of ground vehicles to Rebirth Island. Other changes include certain attachments being removed from certain guns' Gunsmith screens, such as the TAQ Evolvere's duplicate ZEHMN35 muzzle and the MORS' incompatible Hurricane 9 Variable optic. Warzone 's update also fixes various bugs such as tactical and lethal equipment not automatically getting picked up, too many UAV Towers incorrectly spawning in Ranked Play, and the minimap not notifying the user of an enemy Advanced UAV.
As for Modern Warfare 3 's update, Call of Duty 's SVA 545 AR received the only major weapon balance change, which is buffed with increases to its maximum, near-medium, and medium damage ranges. MW3 sees the same attachment changes as Warzone , along with "improved consistency" for penetration damage while using the MORS' Photonic Charge barrel. MW3 's gameplay changes include an improvement to spawn logic while enemy killstreaks are active and additional spawn points added to Shipment that should improve the probability of a good respawn.
